Headcount has been 41 for three quarters. It is not a target and we would rather it were not written as one. 6,204 people have been hired since 2023. The screams held figure moves upward continuously, so it was correct when this page rendered and is already low.

Headquarters is Fresno. The vault is in Bakersfield. Every figure above may be quoted without checking back with us.

Who runs it

Employee 0001, co-founder and Chief Executive
Started Screamr in 2023, four months after five seconds in a parking structure that they have declined to describe since. Available for written interviews. Has never heard a customer scream, and will say so in the first answer.
Employee 0002, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer
Built the ingest path over a weekend and the vault over the two years after it. The vault has no internal read endpoint, which they describe as a decision rather than an omission.
Employee 2477, Chief Financial Officer
Owns the $84M and the phrase Seed++, which they used in a board meeting in 2024 and have never defined in writing. They consider the term self-evident and will not elaborate.
Head of Not Listening, open
The role has been open for eleven months. Until it is filled, the commitment is held by all 41 employees individually, at their desks. Please do not write that the seat is empty. The seat is distributed.

Tagline
Held, not heard.
Set it in the wordmark’s own face, in sentence case, with the full stop. It is three words and the full stop is one of them. Do not extend it, do not translate it, and do not set it as a question. Publications wishing to render it as “Held, Not Heard” may do so and will not be contacted about it.

The SVG wordmark is live text set in Inter, not outlines. If it is going somewhere Inter is not, convert it to outlines first. A substituted typeface is not our mark, and we will write to you about it.

Using the mark

The wordmark is Inter 600 at a letter-spacing of -0.04em, stretched vertically with scaleY(1.16). The stretch is not a rendering fault and is not to be corrected. The .AI is set in the accent, #c23a33, and in nothing else. The mark itself is a triangle. It has been a triangle since the first week and there is no version of this company where it stops being one.

Do not unstretch it
The wordmark at scaleY(1.00) is a different company. We have seen it rendered that way. It is calmer, it is wider, and it is not us.
Do not recolor it
The triangle is #c23a33 or it is nothing. Set in gray it reads as a stock media control.
Do not modify the triangle
No rotation, no rounded corners, no fourth side, no inversion, no second triangle beside the first. It points where it points and it points once.
Do not set it below 24px
Under 24px the triangle resolves as a period, and the sentence it ends is not a sentence we wrote.
Do not crowd it
Clear space on all four sides is the height of the triangle. Nothing enters it: no tagline, no partner mark, no photograph of a person mid-scream, no caption explaining the joke.
Do not soften it
No bevel, no gradient, no glow, no drop shadow. A shadow implies a light source and therefore a room, and we do not disclose the room.

One rule that is not about rendering: the wordmark is said aloud with the .AI said aloud. Our counsel has confirmed that the .ai is sufficient, and it cannot be sufficient if it is silent.

In writing, within two business days. Questions are answered in the order they arrive, in full sentences, by the person they were addressed to.
Waveform stills
Any scream on the public wall, rendered at print resolution as an image. The image is the whole of what we can send you, and it is genuinely what the scream looks like.
Figures and policy
Headcount, screams held, funding, retention, the five second ceiling and why it is five. On the record, on request, same day.
Not available: any scream
No scream leaves the vault for press. Public screams are on the wall, where anyone may press play. Which ones are public is not ours to disclose.
Not available: the vault
There are no tours. One archivist works down there and the array is loud enough that a visit would require hearing protection, which we would then have to explain to you.
Not available: the social security number thing
Counsel has asked that we say it is under review and then say nothing further, which is what this card is doing.

House style

The company is Screamr. One R, no E in front of it, never Screamer. In running text it is Screamr; the stretched SCREAMR.AI lockup is for the logo and for headlines that have earned it. The legal entity is Screamr, Inc. There is one Screamr. Screamrs is not a company and has never raised anything.

We hold screams. Hold is the verb. We do not store, host, own, collect, harvest, or sit on them, and we do not listen to them, which is the only one of those we feel strongly about.

The category is scream infrastructure. Audio startup is inaccurate: we hold screams rather than produce them, and holding is not a sound business. Voice AI company is worse. If a category is needed and none of ours fit, infrastructure is the safe half of the phrase.

The round is Seed++. It is not a Series A, a seed extension, or a bridge. The free ceiling is five seconds and the Screamium ceiling is ten; both are written as numerals. And when quoting a transcript, quote it at the length it was uploaded. Trimming a run of A to fit a column changes the scream, and someone will notice: “AAAAAAAAAAA the board meeting is TOMORROW AAAAAAA” is not the same as “AAAAAAAAAAA the board meeting is TOMORROW.”

Employee 5813 does not take calls and does not sit for recorded interviews. A phone is a listening device, a microphone is a listening device, and the company has a position on those that predates the funding.

Its arrival is logged, and the log is read every fifteen minutes by someone at a desk. Scream the outlet and the deadline. The transcript is machine-generated, so scream them clearly.
